Find out new and exciting things from the Monteverro winery. Georg Weber and his team had looked around the world in all the important wine-growing regions. After years of searching, Weber found the right place for a winery below the Maremma village of Capalbio - at the southernmost tip of Tuscany and in the immediate vicinity of the sea.
The region is known for mineral-rich soils of rock and red clay, a regular fresh breeze, relatively cool nights and warm, sunny days: perfect conditions for ripening the grapes. The aim of Georg Weber and his team is to create Tuscany's first Premier Grand Cru on this terroir. Find out how far Monteverro has already come.
Andreas Comploj and his rarities
Andreas Comploj from Monteverro brings heavy luggage with a few surprises for the evening. Taste eight vintages of Chardonnay di Monteverro, Tinata and Monteverro vertically. Andreas Comploj will explain the philosophy of the winery and the special terroir.
Our head chef Janic Mühlemann will create an exclusive 6-course menu for you to match the fine wines. We will reveal the details here a few weeks before the event.
